It’s the bounty of the Cape, shipped from the dock to your door.
The Original Shore Dinner features all of Wellfleet Shellfish Co’s bests. Day boat scallops are harvested by small dredge and shucked on deck by hand, sweet and briny clams and oysters are harvested daily inside Wellfleet Harbor, fresh cold water caught lobsters are shipped live daily. It’s the bounty of the Cape, shipped from the dock to your door.
INSTRUCTIONS/ STORAGE
All shellfish orders are packed to withstand an extra day of transit in anticipation of weather and service delays.
- Seafood ships fresh with ice packs and soaked saltwater paper.
- Upon arrival, remove packaging and place immediately in the fridge.
- Oysters, Quahogs, and Sea Scallops can be stored up to 1 week.
- TIP! Place your oysters and clams in an open bowl so they don’t leak inside the refrigerator. Cover with a damp cloth or kitchen towel to maximize their freshness.
Live lobsters should be consumed within one day of receipt.Boil 7 minutes per pound from second boil.** If you wish to keep your lobsters until the following day, you are doing so at your own risk. We cannot guarantee our lobsters beyond the date of delivery. NOTE: Your lobsters have journeyed a long way to get to you!It’s not uncommon for them to arrive stressed and lethargic after traveling.Lobsters will remain fresh for 12 hours if they are kept cool.Cook lobsters even if they appear motionless.
